Write to hello@tabelingo.com and a person will answer. For anything about your data, privacy@tabelingo.com reaches the same people faster.
Tell us your phone model, the app version (Profile → bottom of the screen) and what you expected to happen. If a menu was read badly, the photo helps more than anything else you can send.
Common questions
The menu came back with dishes that are not on it.
Take the photo again with the whole page in frame and as little glare as possible. Vision models invent items when part of the page is cut off. If it keeps happening, send us the photo — that is exactly what we use to improve the reading.
A price looks wrong.
Check the dish against the printed menu before ordering. The most common error is picking up the neighbouring line’s price. When a dish has no printed price the app shows no price at all, and the order total disappears rather than being understated.
The order has no total.
That is deliberate. If any dish in the order has no price — market price, all-you-can-eat, or a price the photo cut off — we show no total instead of a partial one. A number that looks complete but is not would decide the meal for you.
The app did not speak the order.
Your phone needs a Japanese voice installed. On iOS: Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → Japanese. The order still shows on screen without it.
How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?
Open the plans screen and tap Restore. The receipt belongs to your store account, so it works without an email address. Linking an email keeps your saved menus, not the purchase.
How do I delete my data?
Profile → Data and privacy → Delete account. It removes your account, saved menus, favourites and the menu photos we kept for reading quality. Voice translations are not linked to your account and are deleted on their own 90-day schedule.
Reporting something urgent
If the app showed an allergen wrongly, or translated something in a way that put you at risk, say so in the subject line and we will treat it first. Allergen information in Tabelingo is indicative and never a clearance to eat — but a wrong list is a bug we want to know about the same day.
